No. 1 seeds Lucas Gerch and Arjun Kadhe defeated No. 9 Jack Barber and William Genesen of Stanford 6-3, 6-4 today to win the Pacific Coast Men's Doubles Championship in the San Diego suburb of La Jolla.
It was the second Pacific Coast title for Gerch and Kadhe -- seniors from Germany and India, respectively -- but their first together. Kadhe triumphed last year with Oklahoma State teammate Julian Cash, and Gerch teamed with the Cowboys' Nicolai Olsen for the 2015 crown.
Barber, a sophomore from La Jolla, and Genesen, a freshman from Tulsa, Okla., beat No. 9 Max Cressy and Ben Goldberg of UCLA 6-4, 7-5 in the semifinals earlier today.
