John Lamble, a former University of Santa Clara star from nearby Saratoga, rose 11 places to a career-high No. 796 in singles and 42 spots to No. 657 in doubles in this week's world rankings.
Lamble, 24, improved by reaching the singles quarterfinals and doubles semifinals in the recent $25,000 Berkeley Futures.
In singles, Lamble upset second-seeded Kaichi Uchida of Japan in the second round before losing to sixth-seeded Lucas Gomez of Mexico.
Seeded third in doubles, Lamble and former University of San Francisco standout Bernardo Saraiva of Portugal fell to top seeds and eventual champions Connor Smith and Rhyne Williams of Tampa, Fla.
