UC Davis men earn highest ranking ever

   The UC Davis men attained their highest ranking ever at No. 72, according to the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll released today.
   The Aggies (4-2) cracked the top 75 for the second time in school history by upsetting then-No. 52 Santa Clara 4-3 on Saturday in Santa Clara. In the deciding match, sophomore Jesse Ross beat Sebastien Mathieu 6-3, 7-5 at No. 6 singles.
   Alec Adamson, a sophomore from Corona del Mar in Newport Beach, is 2-3 at No. 1 singles for UC Davis.
   The Aggies spent one week tied for No. 75 in 2008 during their inaugural season in Division I.
