Top-seeded Oren Motevassel of San Jose led Misha Yevtich of Las Vegas 6-0 on Tuesday when rain halted the third-round match for the day in the USTA National 40 Hard Court Championship in the San Diego suburb of La Jolla.
Only one main-draw
singles contest was completed Tuesday.
The match between Motevassel, the 2011 and 2012 champion, and Yevtich is scheduled to resume today.
Also, third-seeded Jeff Tarango of Manhattan Beach, Calif., is set to face unseeded Jawad Bisharat of La Jolla in the third round. Tarango, a former Stanford All-American, won the title in 2010.
